CHELLIS JENSEN

JUST FOR KIDS

Do you like to write poems?  I do.  A  poem can be about something you know or don't know... anything can be a poem. I have written poems since I was in the first grade.
Would you like to write a short poem and send it to me? There will have to be a few rules, and there won't be room to share all the poems on this website. But I will try to pick out special ones so everyone can read them.

Here are the rules:
1. No more than 12 lines; or it can be Haiku (5 syllables, 7 syllables,
5 syllables)
2. Make sure your printing or writing is clear so anyone can read it
3. Include your first name, age, what city or town you live in, and your grade level.

"A POEM CAN BE A SPECIAL THING
TO MAKE YOU LAUGH OR MAKE YOU SING
OR BE A GIFT  TO FAM'LY OR FRIEND
AND ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS... WRITE IT!".

A RECIPE FROM ANNATHENA

  ANGEL BITS
This is fun to make.  Ask your mother to help you.
1/2 CUP MARGARINE OR BUTTER
12 OUNCES OF SEMI-SWEET CHOCOLATE CHIPS
1/2 CUP CREAMY PEANUT BUTTER
8 CUPS OF RICE CHEX OR CRISPIK CEREAL
2 CUPS OF POWDERED SUGAR
1. Melt the margarine, chocolate chips and peanut butter in a large sauce pan over low to medium heat.
2.  Put the rice chex in a BIG BOWL..  (don't forget to turn off the burner on the stove)
3.   Pour the melted mixture over the rice chex and stir, stir, stir....until all the chex are covered.
4.   In a big brown paper sack, dump all the powdered sugar, and then all the rice chex.
5.   Fold the top of the bag and hold it tight and then shake the bag in all directions, being care not
to let any sugar or chex fall out.   Make sure they are all coated with sugar.
6.  Take two cookie sheets and cover them with wax paper. Then spread the warm chex coated
cereal on the two sheets and let them cool.
7.  When cool, store them in an airtight container for as long as you can.   They are yummy!
